What is Iprovefit?

We focus on 6 core areas to help learners to understand the basic principle of a balanced lifestyle whilst reinforcing the importance of valuing themselves and their future. Our aim is to increase the learners self-esteem, self-confidence and self-belief. This will enable them to re-engage in many aspects of their life including education as well as to develop opportunities for their future.

Physical Fitness & Activity

We believe that physical fitness is vital for young men and women. When the young people join us, they will partake in a fun fitness program, which is challenging yet enjoyable.We can carry out an initial fitness test and another at the end of the course to show the young people just how far they’ve come if appropriate. We feel that completing the fitness program gives the young people a real sense of pride and achievement. The more we help the body physically, the more help the mind.

Physical activity increases the flow of oxygen to our brains in turn increasing the number of endorphins produced, our natural “feel-good” chemical in our brain.Physical exercise is great for the body but equally effective with dealing with depression, stress, anxiety and more. Regular exercise can have an amazing impact on depression, anxiety, stress, ADHD and more. It can also improve memory, aid better sleep and boost your overall mood.Exercise can provide you with an enormous sense of well-being. You can feel more energetic throughout the day and improve your memory. It can be a powerful tool.

Nutrition, Well-Being and Lifestyle

We aim to help young people improve their overall health and wellbeing, therefore, rather than focusing on just a balanced diet and the importance of exercise and activities we also cover: smoking, drugs and alcohol too. When covering this topic, we really want to educate our young people and ensure that they understand just how crucial it is to have a balanced well-being, make positive lifestyle choices and overall, good nutrition.

What we eat and drink has an impact on our physical health, mental well-being and performance at school, college and work. We will develop strategies and discuss ways on how we can improve our dietary and lifestyle choices, and understand how they impact on our health and well-being. Eating well has multiple benefits including; increased energy; improved mood and mental well-being; improved sleep quality and much more. The challenge is how we can encourage young people to change their behaviour to improve their nutrition and health choices in a way that can be sustained in the long term.

Sleep Well & Sleep Hygiene

Here at Iprovefit we want to share the importance of having a quality night time sleep, which ensures full daytime alertness. We teach some tips and techniques to having a great sleep each night. It is a time for the body to rest, before waking up and making the most of the following day. Without a good sleeping pattern, attitude and behaviour can change drastically, so we feel this is one of our main focuses.

Gaining healthy sleep is important for both physical and mental health. It can also improve young people’s output during the day in lessons and overall quality of life. Sleep needs can vary across ages and can be impacted by lifestyle and health. So, making a few simple changes can make the difference between a good night’s sleep and a night of tossing and turning. We aim to offer a wide range of guidance and strategies to enhance sleep and to avoid the dreaded distractions like our phones or gaming!

Academic Learning

Here at Iprovefit we deal with students of all academic levels including those who may have physical or learning difficulties. We try to make academic learning fun, in which most of our teaching is completed through games, sport and physical activities. Our teaching, information and guidance originates from our own personal life experiences and journeys, we feel this helps to build strong relationships and connections between ourselves and the young people by keeping it real.

Academic Learning enables individuals to become skilled at knowledge, knowledge is power which then instils greatness. Learning is a discovery that brings hope and with greater academic success you can demonstrate more creativity and better problem solving. Learning new knowledge can also lower depression and anxiety and surge young people’s feelings of self-worth and positive attitude towards life. As Nelson Mandela once said “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”.

Discipline

We believe strongly in building structure and discipline into our young people using our knowledge of health, fitness and psychology. Giving the young person a clear understanding of good discipline and acceptable behaviour will prepare them for college, work and life in general. Working alongside colleges, social services and many other agencies we are able to adjust to a number of behavioural issues and act appropriately.

Discipline is a habit so when practiced regularly it will bring success and therefore a better life. It is a personal orientation towards life, it is not limited to riches, money or by poverty.Having discipline in your life has many qualities like staying healthy, being focused and also dodging problems, it has now become an essential life skill. Discipline is one factor by which people judge others, the highly talented and hard-working people cannot be effective if they are not disciplined, this we teach and embed in our young people we mentor and work with throughout all of our programmes.

Communication

Here at Iprovefit we provide small tests for individuals that cover a range of criteria’s and enable students to pass and gain their certificates. Our teaching styles are very hands-on and active, mostly through team sports as we feel this enhances better communication. We make clear that this will cross over with every-day life scenarios and will be highly beneficial. Communication promotes motivation by informing and clarifying difficulties or challenges about the tasks needed to be done in order to succeed, how the young person is performing and how they can improve their performance.

Communication is the key and source of information, how we get our young people to engage with us. It is a crucial role in altering young people’s attitudes when it is done in an effective manner and this is what we are successful at doing. Effective communication can also benefit socialising in order to support young people who can struggle with this area of difficulty in daily life. Showing good manners anywhere you go is the foundation and respect along with good values will create you a better way of living.

Our Mission

Young people are the future of any community and we all want to feel we have a positive place in society, Iprovefit provide positive mentors and direction to learners and young people who may struggle with the difficulties that they may have gone through or are going through. We aim to support mainstream academic provisions, local authorities or any alternative specialist provision with an early intervention tool (Iprovefit) to prevent exclusions and keep learners or young people on a positive path to becoming happy, balanced and confident positive members of the community as adults or to aid get them back on track to seeing their potential if in alternative provision or struggling with access to education (by being home bound).

Our Vision

Our Vision is to aid young people and learners find and see the value in themselves, gain confidence to either go back to education or become employable through our programs. we want to expand the business and help more learners see the potential within themselves across the country. We aim to have venues or bases across the country where learners can come and feel at home knowing they can work on themselves with trusted and respected mentors.
